The Military Community Network of Bucks County was founded in 2009 to serve all those on active duty, transitioning military, current or former Guard/Reserve, disabled veterans, family members and survivors. The Travis Manion Foundation has worked to create this one-stop-shop where all those in the military community can access otherwise difficult to find information.

Vacations For Veterans is a nonprofit organization created to provide Purple Heart Medal recipients from the Afghanistan and Iraq Campaigns with a week of free lodgings donated by a vacation homeowner.

Vacation in Rockport - How It Works
Veterans first make contact with the nonprofit VacationsforVeterans.org which verifies the veteran is a Purple Heart recipient as a result of combat actions in Iraq or Afghanistan. After you get to their site, use the top menu item "Available Homes", then Select Texas, we are at the bottom of the list - Listing #677.
This 3 bedroom home located along the Texas Gulf Coast in Rockport is available to you and your family at no cost for up to a 2 week stay.
Use of the Rockport For Veterans vacation home is made possible through the generous support of patriotic Americans who are grateful for your service and your sacrifice.
Rockport For Veterans welcomes veteran families to plan their stay during peak season times such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day to avoid the increased holiday rental rates at nearby condos and hotels/motels. The home is available for use year ‘round.
