Our Programs
Travis Manion Fellowships
The Travis Manion Foundation has partnered with The Mission Continues to fully fund 16 fellowships to date. These fellowships provide a service opportunity to wounded Veterans who still have the desire to serve their country but whose disabilities prevent them from continuing to serve in the military. The average fellowship covers 14 weeks, during which the fellow volunteers full-time at a local charitable organization or community project. Each fellow is awarded a monetary grant to enable the fellow to offset the cost of living expenses while he or she volunteers.
Survivor Support
Each summer, we sponsor and completely fund a Good Grief Seminar with TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) for families of the Fallen. These seminars provide emotional support and healing. Through this program we have touched the lives of over 500 people who have lost loved ones serving our country.
Continuing His Mission Service Projects
Keeping the memory of our brave men and women alive, we honor service to our nation and reflect upon sacrifices for our unity and Freedom.
Scholarships
We have provided over $140,000.00 in scholarship money to foster strength of mind and body to create a generation of Future Leaders. An annual scholarship is awarded at La Salle College High School in Travis' name. We also provide Education Funds for the children of our Fallen Heroes.
Military Community Network of Bucks County
The Military Community Network of Bucks County was founded in 2009 to serve all those on active duty, transitioning military, current or former Guard/Reserve, disabled veterans, family members and survivors. The Travis Manion Foundation has worked to create this one-stop-shop where all those in the military community can access otherwise difficult to find information.
Chracter Does Matter Leadership Program
This leadership program works to foster strength of mind and body to create a generation of future leaders. Offered by the Travis Manion Foundation, Character Does Matter puts symposium participants in the hands of Ryan Manion Borek along with guest presenters like Eric Greitens of the Mission Continues for a fascinating ride through life's real struggles and hope for the future.
9/11 Heroes Run
Each year on September 11th we bring local communities together for a 9/11 Heroes Run to remember, honor and support our men and women in the Armed Services, Police, Firefighters and EMTs who protect and serve our country each day. It is readily apparent that the 9/11 Heroes Run resonates deeply with all Americans! The readiness of individuals to not only recognize the efforts and commitments of all our men and women in uniform, along with our universal call to "never forget" are a powerful combination to bring the members of our communities to participate in that remembrance and honor our fellow Americans who have chosen a life of service to our country!
