Ryan Manion Borek, Executive Director

Ryan has been inspired to help wounded Veterans and Families of Fallen Heroes because of her brother’s character, leadership and sacrifice.  As a Gold Star sister, Ryan has had several opportunities to speak to a national audience about the importance of supporting our military community.  She is responsible for strategic development, planning, marketing, and executing Foundation events and programs.  She serves as the keynote speaker for the Character Does Matter Leadership program to help school age children realize the importance of leadership and character.  Ryan earned a Bachelor's Degree in English from Cabrini College, has run two successful small businesses, and is currently enrolled in a Masters Program in Global Leadership at Delaware Valley College.  She resides in Doylestown with her husband and two daughters, Maggie Rose and Honor. 

 

James Brobyn, Director of Operations

An Academy classmate of Travis, James still serves as Vice President of the Naval Academy Class of 2004. A mustang, James was an enlisted Marine for several years prior his admission to the U.S. Naval Academy and being commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. He subsequently served two combat deployments in Western Al-Anbar Province, Iraq as an infantryman with Third Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion – first as a platoon commander and then as the Executive Officer of Apache Company. James received a Purple Heart after he was wounded in an IED attack during his first deployment. 

Following his tour with the Wolfpack, James transitioned to Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego where he first served as a series commander and then was personally selected by the Commanding General to serve as the Depot Protocol Officer. James transitioned out of the Marine Corps and began work with the Foundation in the beginning of 2011. James is responsible for managing operations, the integration and execution of all Foundation directed programs and events, strategic planning, information technology, social media, and branding of the Foundation. James is currently pursuing his MS in Nonprofit/NGO Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Tom Sileo, Communications Director

The Unknown Soldiers

An award-winning journalist who worked in newsrooms for eight years, Tom Sileo is a nationally syndicated columnist and editor of The Unknown Soldiers blog. Tom's weekly newspaper column, also titled "The Unknown Soldiers," has been distributed by Creators Syndicate since its February 2011 launch. Previously, Tom spent almost five years as a copy editor for CNN's broadband news service. He also worked at the USO, Associated Press, Tribune, WSPA-TV, and WTVM-TV. Tom has a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Media from Rutgers University.

Tom joined the Travis Manion Foundation after leaving the USO, where he served as Director of Story Development. Tom's first newspaper column was about Travis, and he has continued his work honoring our Fallen Heroes through his weekly syndicated column and his blog, The Unknown Soldiers. Tom is responsible for developing the Travis Manion Foundation community through public relations, communications, social media, content creation, and website content maintenance. 

 

Krista Foy, Special Events Coordinator

After attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Krista held a management position at major retail chain.  After the devastating affects of war hit close to home with the passing of her close friend Travis Manion, Krista felt compelled to devote herself to supporting those who serve our country.  Krista is responsible for executing all special events related to the Foundation including but not limited to all Team Travis running events and the annual memorial event and golf tournament.

 

Lindsey Finnegan, Program Director - 9/11 Heroes Run

Lindsey decided to transition from corporate America to the Travis Manion Foundation after one of her best friends suffered the loss of her husband, Brendan Looney, during the war in Afghanistan. In addition to Brendan and Travis being best friends and roommates at the Naval Academy, Brendan was a lacrosse teammate and mentor to Lindsey's husband. After relocating from San Diego to Virginia, Lindsey immediately reached out to the Foundation.

As Program Director, Lindsey is responsible for developing, growing, and executing the foundation's 9/11 Heroes Run race series across the country and internationally. She earned two Bachelor Degrees from Brown University (Psychology and Sociology) while competing as a D1 athlete in both Women's Ice Hockey and Lacrosse all 4 years. She also holds a MBA with Sports Management emphasis from San Diego State University. Lindsey and her husband reside in Virginia Beach with their yellow lab, Nala.

 

Billie Vollmer, Program Director - 9/11 Heroes Run

Billie initially decided to volunteer as a local co-director of the San Diego 9/11 Heroes Run after one of her close friends and her husband’s co-worker was lost during the war in Afghanistan. This fact coupled with her vast experience in the event industry is why she has joined our team as Program Director.

As Program Director, Billie is responsible for developing, growing, and executing the foundation's 9/11 Heroes Run race series across the country and internationally. Her previous event history includes collectively working with companies such as Red Bull and Microsoft Zune to create and manage large scale national events. She also created the events department at The Granby Theater in Norfolk, VA, a venue that hosts a variety of upscale corporate and private events.

She currently resides in San Diego and stays active in the California sunshine with her husband and their pug, Hemi.

 

Tina Tranauskas, Program Director - Honor the Fallen

Tina Tranauskas manages the Honor the Fallen Program. She joined the Travis Manion Foundation in 2008. She accepted the challenge offered by Janet Manion to run on Team Travis as a member of the MCM Marathon team. In addition to honoring our Fallen Heroes, Tina focuses on the many community service projects, which embody the Foundation’s mission of service. These programs, Operation Care Package, Freedom Square, and the Bucks County WTC Artifact Memorial, give the community an outlet to support America’s Heroes. She is profoundly grateful to the men and women who serve and is humbled by the opportunity to honor our Heroes and their families for their sacrifice. As the daughter of a US Coast Guard WWII veteran and the mother of son who proudly serves in the USAR, Tina knows that families serve alongside their loved ones. Together with her husband Jeff, they have five children and three rescued dogs. Tina and Jeff are also members of a wonderful church community. As a life-long learner, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and in her “free” time, she enjoys running.

 

Beth Duncan McDevitt, Director of Finance and Administration

Beth met the Manion family a few years ago through a mutual friend. She instantly felt drawn to help them in this worthy cause, relating as a parent and an American. Beth is responsible for maintaining and providing relevant financial data necessary for budgetary and financial decision making. Beth is a graduate of Lehigh University and has worked for the last 20 years in varying positions in both public and corporate accounting. She resides in Doylestown with her family and is a life long Bucks County resident. 

 

Mike O'Hara, Development

Mike resides in Doylestown, PA and is married with 4 children and 5+ grandchildren. His youngest son is serving in the military as a Naval Aviator, USNA class of '04. From 1994-2004, Mike served as Senior Vice President of Development for Cendant. His responsibilities included North American sales management and franchise development for several hotel brands within Cendant's hotel business unit. During his tenure, Mike was responsible for the sales and franchise development of a new business unit in the Vacation Rental business. He oversaw the integration of the time-sharing business within the hotel division. Prior to Cendant, Mike worked in the mainframe Computer Industry for Unisys for 16 years with increasing sales management responsibilities within the Eastern Region.
