PFC Justin Davis, USA
Private First Class Justin Ray Davis, U.S. Army
KIA June 25, 2006

Justin Ray Davis was a courageous young man who had a passion for life and service to his fellow man. An only child, he loved GI Joe, X-Men and other superhero action figures and dreamed of being an elite soldier. Justin was looking forward to attending UCLA and believed the possibilities were endless – still dreaming of being the next Bruce Lee, or a CIA agent, or a scientist or a history teacher. He just wanted to make a difference in the world.
On June 25, 2006, PFC Justin Davis, USA, was killed in Afghanistan while deployed with the Alpha Company of the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, of the 10th Mountain Division. He was 19 years old. PFC Davis has been laid to rest in Section 60 of Arlington Cemetery.
He enlisted as an infantryman before graduating from high school. When his mother, Paula Davis, asked why he would choose to fight a war when he was her only child he replied: “You should have had more kids, this is my dream and I’m going to follow it. I have to live my life. You are going to have to ‘man up’ and be tough.”

Besides football and lacrosse, Justin was a martial arts enthusiast who sought to make a difference in this world. Today, U.S. Army Major Anthony Smith, keeps Justin's spirit of service alive while helping young men and women through his Fellowship.
